History

In 1964 there stood the Institute of Teacher Training and Science of Education Surabaya (UNJ Surabaya) is the separation of Teachers' Training College Malang branch of Surabaya and has six (6) Faculty of Faculty of Science of Education (FIP), Teacher Training Faculty of Social Sciences (FKPS), Teaching Faculty of Letters of Arts (FKSS) , the Teaching Faculty of Science of exact sciences (FKIE), Teacher Training Faculty of Engineering (FKT), and one is still called STO (High School Sports)..

 

STO stand up in 1963 the origin of courses B-1 (1951) in Bandung and further integrate with the Surabaya State Teacher Training Institute became FKIK (1977), which recently changed its name Nikken Unesa (1999), this change is based on the decline in Presidential Decree No. 34 of 1971 and Decree of the Director General of Higher Education.

 

As a consequence of the Presidential Decree, STO as an institution to manage the problem of sports and integrated into the Teachers' Training College Surabaya on March 29, 1977 occupies in School Building in JI. Kawung No. 9 Surabaya from 1966 to 1995 in 1996 teaching and learning activities were moved to a new building on the campus Tongue Wetan, Surabaya Lakarsantri until today.

 

By decree of the Director General of Higher Education Ministry of National Education 172 / Dikti / Kep / 1999 dated 26 April 1999 State Teacher Training Institute Surabaya allowed to set Sl Non Education Program so FPOK name was changed to the Faculty of Science of Sport (FIK).
